Another view of the spectacular sunset overlooking Knik Arm. It is the darkest time of winter - days are short and it is often very cold. However, the pluses still outweigh the minuses. Yes, nights are long but the stars twinkle brightly against the black velvet sky; the moon shines like a beacon, casting shadows along the beautiful snow. Northern Lights undulate across the sky and the lucky ones get to see them! So I am grateful to live in this rugged land, where the landscape dominates all.
